Greetings collectors,

Life has been very busy of late. July brought in the Grand-Reopening of Valarie Moyer’s Dolls with the expansion of the doll hospital, museum and learning center.

The Heart of a Child Doll Museum and Learning Center is now opening to the public. We have on display over 200 beautiful babies from the world over. Many thanks go out to our largest donator – Miss Barbara Bressler of Carlisle , PA. Miss Bressler has provided us with many beautiful pre-1970 dolls for our museum.

As visitors tour the museum the calming sounds of running water from the fountain and the backdrop of soothing music add to the ambience of the museum stay. Volunteer tour guides provide insight of the story of the dolls to add to the learning experience.

As the visit nears its end, visitors can stop by the snack bar for a cup of hot tea or a cold soda with a snack to reflect on the day’s visit.

Membership - Consider joining our happy family as a member of The Heart of a Child Doll Museum and Learning Center . Annual family and individual memberships are now available. Click here for Membership Application

Family membership (1 adult, up to 3 children, ages 3 – 12) - $85.00 (over 35% savings over 12 visits annually.)

Doll makers reunion - was held on Saturday, July 8. Many former students attended bringing their babies in to share and discuss. During this reunion I discovered that the realism of our babies was too realistic. My 12 month old granddaughter was greatly disturbed that “I” was holding another baby, other than her. Oh what fun!

Please join us when you can. I look forward to seeing each of you,
